Transformation Matters: It Makes Total Sense!
Sensory Perception Program: Fostering Balance and Empowering Women
Our mission is to create a meaningful impact in the lives of women by implementing a sensory learning framework that goes beyond surface-level benefits. At the core of our charity’s existence is a deeper purpose – to empower women and facilitate their holistic development. Through our sensory learning program, we aspire to enhance cognitive and sensory stimulation for women from all walks of life. We believe that by providing a nurturing and inclusive environment, we can foster personal growth, encourage community engagement, and promote overall well-being. Our approach is grounded in the understanding that sensory activities have the power to revolutionize lives. By integrating these activities into our program, we aim to unlock ongoing development and learning opportunities for the individuals we serve. We recognize that mental, social, physical, and community balance are essential components of a fulfilled life. Therefore, our sensory learning framework encompasses all these aspects, ensuring a comprehensive and holistic approach to women’s health. Through our efforts, we envision a future where women are empowered, connected, and equipped with the tools they need to thrive. Together, let us create a world where every woman has the opportunity to embrace her full potential and lead a life of fulfillment and joy.

Objectives:
Through our sensory learning program, we are dedicated to empowering women by providing them with a holistic sensory experience. By focusing on cognitive and sensory stimulation, creating a safe and supportive environment, enhancing mental and emotional faculties, promoting relaxation and self-control, and increasing awareness of sensory education, we aim to foster balance and well-being. Join us in this journey of self-discovery and personal growth, as we empower women to embrace their deeper purpose and lead fulfilling lives.
- Cognitive and Sensory Stimulation Workshops:
LNWB will develop and implement sensory workshops for adults in our community, offering a wide range of cognitive and sensory stimulation activities. These workshops will provide participants with opportunities to engage their senses and explore new experiences, fostering personal growth and self-discovery. - Safe and Supportive Environment:
Creating a safe and supportive environment is crucial for individuals to freely engage in sensory activities. Our program will establish a space where participants feel comfortable and encouraged to explore their senses without judgment. This environment will allow them to build confidence, express themselves, and develop a sense of belonging within the community. - Enhancing Mental and Emotional Faculties:
By actively engaging in sensory activities, participants will experience improvements in concentration, memory, and communication skills. Through various exercises and techniques, we will guide individuals towards enhancing their mental and emotional well-being, promoting personal growth and self-awareness. - Promoting Relaxation, Self-Control, and Social Skills Development:
We recognize the importance of relaxation, self-control, and social skills in leading a balanced and fulfilling life. Our program will incorporate techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, and breathing exercises to help participants develop these skills. By fostering a sense of purpose and well-being, we aim to empower women to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence. - Increasing Awareness and Understanding:
We believe that sensory education is vital for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. To raise awareness and understanding in our community, we will actively promote the importance of sensory education through workshops, events, and collaborations. By educating the general community, we hope to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals with sensory needs.
BottomLine : Peace, Productivity and Positive Energy are discovered when balance is found in shifting your mind and mindfulness by staying present through our senses.

Tiffani Walten

Right before COVID, I found LNWB on FB and as I was what some would have called a workaholic I showed up to a meeting thinking it was for other working women and business networking…but quickly learned that it was focusing on hiking and in the works of becoming a non-profit organization for an outlet for women! Since I knew no one in the area, I thought why not get off the couch and go for a walk! I quickly connected with other ladies and have gained greatly cherished friendships with many!
I volunteer with this group to give back…LNWB inspired me to go from couch to trail, all while focusing on a personal transformation of myself both physically, and emotionally over the last few years!
Looking forward to our week together!

Week 3 : 1/28 – 2/3 Taste/ Gustation

enables the individual the choice of correct food, which, in turn, is crucial for one’s existence, maintenance and function. What we call ‘taste’ is the result of the multisensory integration of touch taste and smell. Taste is the perception produced or stimulated when a substance in the mouth reacts chemically with taste receptor cells located on taste buds in the oral cavity, mostly on the tongue. In all these ways, your senses are activated when you eat or drink; and the way the brain integrates the information from these different sensory inputs ensures that the experience of tasting is always multisensory. Sweet, sour, salty, bitter and savory tastes can actually be sensed by all parts of the tongue. We think of the experiences we are having as either visual, or auditory or tactile, not realizing that they often arise from the fusion of different sensory inputs. The experience of tasting something is one such case.
Christine Hicks

Initially when I was asked what sense I would like to co-facilitate during the winter series I jumped at the opportunity for “taste”. The reason that I chose this sense is because taste and food are the reason why a lot of us have struggled with weight loss, myself included. I am the first person to try any new dish and love the sense of taste especially with my certain favorites. I am excited to participate with this because I will be able to share with others how to enjoy taste while making healthier choices.
Objective: Promote healthy eating habits and explore the connection between food and mood.

Grace Mason

I enjoy meeting new people and love to lend a helping hand. I have always looked for a more natural approach to health and wellness since I was 18, and had family members with chronic diseases as well as losing my mom to cancer when she was only 39. In 2015 doTERRA became a staple in my home for everyday health and wellness and I’m grateful for the many ways I am able to support my family naturally.
About 1 year after moving to Riverside County, I was excited to meet the LNWB women at the levee walk after only following on social media for several months. I’m again blessed and honored to work with this organization, the new board, and to be a facilitator for this awesome journey through the sense of smell!
Objective: Utilize the sense of smell to enhance relaxation and emotional well-being.

Week 5 : 2/11 – 2/17 Touch/ Tactition

Areli Marconi

I know that it will inspires women of all ages to hope, believe, and love.
Hi 👋 my name is Areli, simply Areli.
I been a daughter, mother of 2, wife, lover, friend, student, housewife, driver, nurse, cook, customer service, teacher, baby sitter, cheerleader, event coordinator, field trip coordinator, and so much more that entails being at home mom. I love the memories and for ever will I treasure them.
As I turn a new sentence, paragraph, page and chapter of my life I just say it was somewhat hard to fathom a new chapter in my life, something to add to my stay at home mom. I didn’t think I was ever going to add it to my resume but life happens and so a divorce, yes a divorce. Has been added. In my mind I was all in for the rest of my life but life happens but God has been compassionate, loving and loves me with a passion that’s indescribable. He is the master recycling, repurposing anything, everything and anyone . It’s been 3 years since we had separated and we are finally finishing this chapter.
At the beginning It felt like my life was crumbling, not just because of that situation but family felt the aftermath of this outcome, my girl got sick, to the point that the dr. Said that if she didn’t do anything quickly her outcome was not good at all. Felt broken, like if my life was just turned into ashes. I am sure there are worst stories than mine but in the midst of mine God had other plans, those ashes have been turning into beauty.
It’s not a physical beauty that I’m talking about it’s that beauty that only God can give. Beauty that lifts my spirt, broke my chains, restores my life, healed my girl, gave my life a restart. I am nothing but thankful, grateful, joyful, peaceful. now and as I go through life’s situation and challenges I know that he’s got my back.
I love and have definitely a serving heart, and this is why I am here today. Since life changed my time has too, I hardly have time to do or join events and when Shay asked me I couldn’t say no because believe me we all need from each others encouragement. When I said yes, I started thinking about it and then it hit me. Why did I even say yes??? I didn’t feel equipped, then I remembered I said yes because I have a serving heart and I know that God has something special for you.
I hope to connect with all women, for I have been a child, adult, married, mom and now divorcee.
In all those phases in my life one aspect is common denominator; that God has been in control through all my good seasons and bad seasons and all changes in life. I am sure we can chat and have something in common to chat about.
I am honored to be part of this organization (LNWB), and to be part of the sense series. I am honored to be a vehicle to deliver a special gift for you through the senses program. I am mostly honored to serve God in all I do and in this group is to serve YOU.
Sincerely,
Areli ~ Daughter of the most high

Method:
At LNWB, we understand the deeper purpose of our existence – to empower and support women in achieving holistic balance in their lives. With this in mind, we have developed a sensory learning framework that embraces the mental, social, physical, and community aspects of well-being. This program aims to enhance sensory perception while fostering personal growth and connection.
To effectively implement this framework, we have devised the following methods:
- Collaboration: We actively collaborate with local community centers, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions to identify individuals who can benefit from our sensory workshops. By working together, we can reach a wider audience and ensure that our programs are accessible to those who need them most.
- Curriculum Development: Our curriculum for the sensory workshops is carefully designed to incorporate a wide range of sensory activities. These activities include tactile experiences, visual stimulation, auditory exercises, and olfactory exploration. By engaging all the senses, we provide participants with a comprehensive sensory education that promotes overall well-being.
- Experienced Facilitators: We provide devoted facilitators who possess knowledge and expertise in various aspects of sensory education. These facilitators create a safe and inclusive environment for participants, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and supported throughout the workshops. Their guidance and expertise are instrumental in fostering a positive learning experience.
- Regular Workshops: We conduct regular workshops, both virtually and in person, to accommodate different preferences and needs. By offering a consistent schedule, we promote routine and familiarity, which can have a positive impact on participants’ engagement and overall experience.
- Evaluation and Assessment: We continuously evaluate the impact of our sensory workshops through a variety of methods. We collect participant feedback, administer pre- and post-workshop assessments, and observe behavioral changes and patterns. This comprehensive evaluation allows us to measure the effectiveness of our program and make any necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement. Through our sensory learning program, we strive to empower women by equipping them with the tools to enhance their sensory experiences and achieve balance in their lives. By focusing on the deeper purpose of our charity and implementing this holistic framework, we aim to create a lasting impact on the lives of the women we serve.
Expected OutComes:
The sensory learning program is designed to promote engagement, learning and overall well-being among adults, with a focus on women. By offering sensory workshops, we aim to improve cognitive abilities, enhance communication and social skills, and provide a sense of purpose and relaxation. We believe that investing in sensory education is crucial for the future of our community and women. By integrating sensory activities, we can foster personal growth, involvement, and enjoyment for individuals of all backgrounds. We kindly request your support to make our vision a reality and positively impact the lives of those we serve. Together, we can create a brighter future for women and our communities.
The expected outcomes of implementing this sensory learning program are as follows:
- Improved cognitive abilities:
Participants can expect enhanced memory, concentration, and problem-solving skills, leading to personal growth and increased self-confidence. - Enhanced communication and social skills:

Our STORY:
It all started in 2016 on the trails of Lake Elsinore, California, where a group of people came together with a passion for serving their community. Fast forward to 2019, and LNWB had transformed into a non-profit organization that continued to serve underrepresented communities even through the 2020-2022 pandemic. After taking a closer look at the needs of the community, LNWB launched their Mentorship Program, which focuses on empowering women and building connections to existing resources. Looking ahead to 2024-2025 LNWB has big plans to secure funding for a land and building project in furthering the mission.
At the heart of LNWB is the belief in cultivating authentic relationships and sharing their passion with others. The goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment that promotes growth and purpose for everyone in the community. As a community partner, you'll gain access to a secure and verified network that offers support and accountability. LNWB provides an organized activity calendar centered around the four pillars of health: Social, Mental, Physical, and Community Wellness.
