After the death of her father, Shay became depressed and gained an excessive amount of weight. It was through her courage to share her health and wellness testimony where LNWB was formed and has reached 1,000 of women today! By sharing your story, it just might be the “key” to unlocking someone else’s healing.

Since then, Shay Vann has obtained a Bachelors in Public Admin from Cal Baptist University and continues to design peer to peer mentorship and volunteer led programs for women of all ages and abilities; ensuring no woman ever feels left behind. In 2022 both Mr& Mrs Vann became Ordained Ministers of the Gospel.

Shay Vann is in the process of writing her first children’s book series, called “Adventures with Red Bear” which was inspired by her daughter Izzy as a way to share the love of the outdoors with the love for reading and real life adventures.

After obtaining her degree in Public Admin, Ms.Shay has expressed interest in running for public office

reviewing local policy and annual budget while seeking to represent under served and privileged children and families.

“As a child, I always prayed for an adult to come rescue me from my environment. In many ways, I was the child that was left behind. Very quiet and mainly kept to myself, I witnessed both my parents self-medicate their struggles with mental illness and addiction.

Ultimately, leading to both of their untimely deaths. I witnessed no things a child should be exposed to; which have led to a great deal of time focusing on my own inner childhood trauma and healing journey.
My focus at LNWB is to reach women where they are; in the season they are in. By serving the woman, the love poured in her overtime will hopefully have an impact on all that woman touches. All areas include her health and wellness but also her family, children/grandchildren should she have any community as these are all connected to THRIVE.

In many ways, my non profit service work is in dedication to my mother and father/sister and all families that struggle with domestic violence, mental health and chronic conditions, child neglect and poverty or any type of abuse; seen and unseen; known and unknown.

LNWB is a place to remind everyone that you are not alone, and as long as you find the courage and strength to advocate your needs

We can do our best to help guide the next steps in the journey with the existing community resources, as well as LNWB mentorship pairing and network experience workshops to establish support and accountability.”
